The Fox And The Grapes

One day, a fox was walking in the forest and spotted a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from the lofty branches of a tree. The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice.

As the fox gazed longingly at those grapes, his mouth watered. He thought, “just the thing to quench my thirst. The bunch of grapes hung from a high branch, and the fox had to jump for it to catch them.

Taking a few steps back, the fox jumped to catch the hanging grapes and just missed. Again the fox took a few steps back and tried to reach them but still failed. He tried again and again but in vain.

Finally, he sat down, looked at the grapes in disgust, and said, “They are probably sour anyway.” He walked off very, very scornfully.
