A Dinner With Father

Nandini was a single child to her parents. They always wanted a girl child, and by God’s grace, they had her! Since her childhood, they wanted to bring her up in a good environment so that she would grow with a good nature and as an honest human being. Nandini grew up accordingly.

Nandini always wanted to fulfill all her dreams. Not only her but also her parents. She completed her higher studies with very good marks, and she had to leave for abroad. She wanted to be a successful fashion designer, so she chose a reputed institute that is abroad.

But her parents were not accepting her decision. They were nervous about leaving their only child alone abroad. But Nandini didn’t want to listen to anyone and behaved harshly. Her parents were badly hurt, but for her sake, they left her to go.

Nandini, the next day, realized that it was really bad to behave with her parents in that way. She realized that her parents were hurt. But she didn’t utter a word to them. 

She left silently, packing her bags the next day. On her way, memories ran rampant through her mind. She was in tears.

After almost 3 years of her graduation, she returned. Her parents were not aware of the placement that she got in Malhotra’s company as an assistant designer.

The day she returned, she surprised her parents, and both of them were astonished to see her suddenly.

They were so happy, which can’t be described. Nandini could see the happiness and smile on their face. She hugged everybody and apologized to them for her behavior. Then, she suddenly asked her parents to get ready. 

She wanted to take them for dinner at a luxurious restaurant. However, her mother was ill, so she didn’t go. Nandini decides to let her mother take a rest, so she takes her father along with him.

They went to a luxurious restaurant that her father had never visited before and had never expected to visit. He asked her daughter why she took him to such a luxurious hotel and how she could pay the bill. 

Nandini just said, “Papa, just have your food, and you’ll get to know everything.” After they had their food, she told her father about her placement and that she was the assistant fashion designer of a company.

Her father was overjoyed and laughed so much. It was unbelievable, and Nandini was the happiest girl that day, seeing her father smile with joy.
