Little Boy’s Meeting With God

Joy was a little boy who was eager to meet God. He was innocent and wise. He had an intense feeling about meeting God in his life for once.

Joy lived with his parents in a small hut. He belonged to a low-income family, and his mother used to tell him stories about how God helps one who is in danger. Listening to the stories, he deeply believed in God and that God would help whenever they were in danger.

Every day, he used to talk to God and used to share all his problems. He was fond of his mother and father and loved them more than anything. He truly believed in God as he helped the little boy whenever he was in danger.

Joy shared his stories about how God helps him in every situation with his friends, but all his friends disbelieved him. One evening, he went to the ground to play football with his friends and returned too late that day. He was so small and jolly that he kept playing and didn’t even notice that it was too late to return home.

But that day, he returned home late and saw his hut very dark without any lights switched on. He rushed into his hut and saw everybody sitting with pin-drop silence. He just saw his mother lying on the bed, quiet and stiff. He went up to his father and asked what had happened and why his mother was lying so quietly.

Joy’s father replied, “Your mother is no more because of a scorpion bite.” He was shattered for a few minutes and looked at his mother for moments. In a louder tone, he suddenly said to his father, “This won’t happen and can’t be true.”

Tears rolled down the cheeks of the little boy, and he promised his father that he would save his mother and bring her back at any cost. He rushed outside his hut and arranged to call a doctor immediately. But the doctor didn’t utter any positive words. He declared that the poison had already spread, and there was no option to save her now.

Joy denied believing the doctor and continued saying he would not let that happen. He again rushed outside his small hut and asked for help from everyone. His father and other members of the hut burst into tears at seeing the poor little boy in such a situation.

At last, the poor miserable Joy gave up and sat in a corner with tears in his eyes. He began to pray to God and asked for help. Later, he sat under a tree for an hour and kept praying so that his God would help him bring his mother back. He trusted that if no one helped him, it would be God who would help him for sure.

One hour passed, but nothing happened. Joy pleaded with God to bring his mother’s life back. When nothing happened, he lost his trust. He got annoyed and said he would never call God or pray to him again.

The small boy got up to return to his dead mother with a broken heart when an older woman called him up from behind. He didn’t want to listen to anyone, but still, the older woman pulled his shirt from behind. He stopped and asked her not to disturb him.

Meanwhile, the older woman suddenly held a cup with green liquid. She asked him to put the liquid on the bitten area in his mother’s body. It was an effective medicine. She asked him to return it to her after his mother woke up.

Joy ran and put it on his mother’s body. Within five minutes, he saw his mother waking up and smiling at him. Getting relieved, he ran back to the older woman but couldn’t find her anywhere. He understood that God had sent the medicine because it was impossible to create this miracle except for God.

The little boy looked above the sky and thanked him for making two of his wishes come true – one to save his mother and the second to meet with God himself.
