February 28, 2023July 16, 2023 National Science Day: Story of A School Boy National Science Day Story is about Jassy, an intelligent boy who is pursuing 9th standard. He always had a keen interest in science and loved to study and research space and astronomy. Since childhood, he used to stare at and observe the sky in many ways. Not only did the sky have a huge infinite limit, but he also used to follow up on its minute details. He remained so indulged in different fields of science that even in his free time, he kept researching various logic and reasons behind the happening worldwide. Jassy was a Punjabi boy and was the topper in his school. No one can ever beat Jassy in scoring the highest marks in science. His teachers greatly loved and praised him for his brilliance and keen interest in logic and reasoning. That year, his school organized an interesting workshop on astronomy, space, and machinery. Jassy longed for days to attend a workshop on machinery as he was researching for making up cars and various racing cars. On this news, he was highly excited to attend it. He even bought tickets to attend the workshop. All his teachers were sure about his participation. On the day the workshop was held, Jassy was the first to enter the school before everyone else. The speech was initiated to inform the students of National Science Day’s importance. One of the teachers spoke: Dear students, Today is National Science Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the incredible contributions that scientists have made to our world. It is a day to reflect on the importance of science and how it has shaped our lives. Science is all around us, from the technology we use daily to the medical treatments that keep us healthy. It has helped us understand the world we live in and has led to countless breakthroughs and innovations. We honor the great scientists of our past who have paved the way for today’s discoveries on this day. We remember Sir CV Raman, who discovered the Raman Effect, a phenomenon that helps us understand the molecular structure of materials. We also remember the contributions of countless other scientists who have advanced our knowledge of the world. But National Science Day is not just about the past. It is also about the future. It is about inspiring the next generation of scientists to push the boundaries of what we know and discover new ways to improve our world. So, I encourage all of you to embrace your curiosity and pursue your interests in science. Whether through experiments in the classroom or exploring the world around you, there are endless opportunities to learn and discover. Remember, science is not just for scientists. It is for everyone. So, let us all celebrate National Science Day and the amazing potential of science to change our lives for the better. Jassy was inspired by the speech. As soon as the session was done, Jassy attended the astronomy section, as it was his first field of interest. He got the chance to view the moon and various other parts through a huge telescope. He was overwhelmed by sight. After attending, without any delay, he rushed to the mechanical part, where he found different models and practicals describing the machines of the car work and how they were controlled. He was astonished to find such things. He thanked his science department teachers and principal for organizing such a wonderful National Science Day session. He would never know this information if the workshop wasn’t organized. This was a special workshop organized by the NSS NASA unit, which they usually organize on the event of National Science Day in various schools and colleges. Jassy thanked them and was very happy to explore so much. On the occasion of National Science Day, many students like Jassy could explore science to more extent beyond their syllabus.
