Never Give Up

“Never Give Up” is a story about a farmer who had a donkey for his needs. One day, unfortunately, the donkey fell into a well. The animal cried for hours, thinking the farmer could rescue him.

The farmer also tried to figure out what to do but could not get any better idea. Finally, he decided that the donkey was old and the well had to be covered up anyway. It was not worth enough to retrieve the donkey.

The farmer invited all his neighbours to gather and help him. All of them grabbed a shovel and started to shovel dirt into the well. The donkey realized what was happening and cried a lot at the beginning. Then, he became calm, to everyone’s astonishment.

After a few shovel loads, the farmer looked down into the well and was surprised. The donkey was doing something interesting with every shovel of dirt that fell on his back. He shook it off and took a step up.

The donkey did that continuously after every shovel of dirt loaded on top of his back by the farmer’s neighbours. The donkey quickly stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off.

Everyone was astonished to see how the animal overcame the situation without giving up!

• Never give up on what you aim for in any situation. Move forward!
• Life is going to shovel dirt, all kinds of dirt. The trick is not to get bogged down by it. We can come out of the deepest wells by not stopping and by never giving up! Shake it off, take a step up and move forward!
