The Rabbit and The Turtle Story

One day a rabbit and a turtle came across each other in a forest. The rabbit was boasting about its capability of running as it could run faster than the turtle. It was laughing at the turtle for being so slow. The turtle thought to teach the rabbit a lesson, as it felt awful. To the rabbit’s surprise, the turtle challenged the rabbit to a race between them. 

The rabbit felt it was a great joke and accepted the challenge. The rabbit and the turtle kept a fox as the umpire of the race. As everyone could imagine, the rabbit ran fast ahead of the turtle as the race began. After reaching half a distance, the rabbit saw around for the turtle and could not find it anywhere nearby. 

As it was tired of running and overestimating its capability, the rabbit decided to stop at that point and take a short nap under a tree. The rabbit thought that even if the turtle went ahead of it, it would be able to run faster and reach the end point before the turtle. 

On the other hand, the turtle did not stop anywhere and kept walking step by step. The turtle kept going no matter how tired it got and never quit. 

However, the rabbit slept longer than it had thought and woke up. It could not see the turtle anywhere now too. The rabbit now went at full speed to reach the finishing point, but it got surprised to see the turtle waiting for him at the endpoint. 

The turtle won the race with complete determination and did not underestimate its capability the whole time.

Morals of The Rabbit and The Turtle Story

1. Slow and steady wins the race.
2. Never underestimate the weakest opponent.
3. Determination gets you a long way and makes you win.
