November 14, 2022July 16, 2023 The Thirsty Bird Story There were two kids in a village. During the summer season, both went to play outside and were exhausted. Since they had some money, they bought a water bottle and cleared their thirst. While they were sitting under a tree for some relaxation, they noticed a bird flying all over the fields looking for water on that hot day. The thirsty bird could not find water for a long time and felt very weak. He (the bird) saw a water jug below one of the trees and flew straight down to see if there was any water inside it. And yes, he could see some water inside the jug. Both the kids were keenly observing, and they also felt happy that the bird could get some water finally. But, when the bird tried to push his head into the jug, he found that the neck of the jug was too narrow. He tried to push the jug to tilt the water to flow out, but it was too heavy. The kids were not observing the bird then and playing with the pebbles nearby. The bird thought hard for a while. After looking around, the thirsty bird saw the pebbles near the kids and had a good idea. The thirsty bird went near the kids and started collecting the pebbles one by one, dropping each into the water jug. While doing so, the kids grabbed attention and started observing what the bird was doing! As more and more pebbles filled the jug, the water level kept rising. It was high enough for the thirsty bird to drink water within no time. As the idea worked, the bird drank water and happily flew away from that place. The kids who were watching all this realized the hard work of the thirsty bird and how he found the solution to his problem. It was a kind of lesson from the thirsty bird for their future in overcoming certain situations.
