A Tale of Two Enemies Turned Friends

“Two Enemies Turned Friends” is a story of Bholu and Rajak who lived in the same village and were neighbours. Bholu’s house was exactly beside Rajak’s. But the fact is, both of them do not talk to the other. They are enemies of each other. Nothing ever happened between them. The only reason was jealousy.

Both were jealous of each other because Rajak had very expensive toy cars, and Bholu had expensive remote control toys. Many other children stayed together in the village and usually tried to make Bholu and Rajak friends and remove all the corals between them. Still, it was useless as Bholu and Rajak indulged in indirect arguments.

One of the most interesting characteristics of Bholu and Rajak is that they do not quarrel directly; they always indirectly pinch each other. They always teased each other and indulged in arguments.

So, by this, it is clear that Bholu and Rajak didn’t even talk with each other about any of their necessities. They studied in the same school, but they went to the same school separately.

One day, during their Maths class, the school teacher asked Bholu to sit beside Rajak. Instantly, both Bholu and Rajak denied it at the same moment. The teacher was surprised and asked the cause behind their disapproval of sitting beside each other. When they were being asked, no one replied.

From the background, a few students told the teacher they were enemies. The teacher didn’t like this.

After the bell rang, Bholu and Rajak left. The teacher called up all the students and made a plan for making friends between them.

The teacher said that they would intentionally make Bholu fall in danger. And she said that Rajak, even if they do not talk, will run to help Bholu.

According to their plan, the next day, Bholu was intentionally made to fall into a deep dug hole while they were returning home from school. Bholu started to scream and yell. All the children gathered around him and started to gaze at him. No one had any idea of helping him.

Hearing his voice Rajak came to the scene. And actually, it happened. Rajak, within a few seconds, ran to the school store room and brought a long thick rope from the watchman to help Bholu. He put the rope inside and asked Bholu to grab it.

Along with it, Rajak asked all his friends to help him to pull the rope so that Bholu could get out of the hole. After 10 minutes, Bholu was out. As soon as he came out of it, he hugged Rajak and thanked him. Bholu never imagined that Rajak would save his life.

They became friends from that day. They even played with each other, sharing their toys. They didn’t ever come to know that it was all pre-planned to make their bond. This way, the teacher made a strong bond of friendship between Bholu and Rajak.

Moral of A Tale of Two Enemies Turned Friends

Jealousy and animosity can blind us from seeing the goodness in others. Sometimes, it takes a difficult situation to bring people together and break down barriers. True friendship can only be achieved when we let go of our egos and learn to appreciate and support each other.
