From Failure to Success: The Story of Lily’s Determination

Lily was a girl whose ambition was to be a teacher. She loved teaching children. Since childhood, she told people that she wanted to be a teacher. But the negative point was she wasn’t too good at her studies. She didn’t score much in her finals. Still, she didn’t lose hope.

In the finals of class 9, she failed in the science paper, so everybody laughed at her. She was pinched and shouted, “Lily will become a failed teacher who will teach students how to fail in exams.” These comments disheartened her.

Lily ran to her mother one day and started weeping. Her mother understood everything, and she motivated her instead of scolding her for her bad results.

Lily’s mother told her to work hard and study more. She suggested that she make notes and study a bit every day to memorize everything she learns. Revising every day will help her remember everything.

But Lily said, “Maa, then also, I would forget everything.” Lily’s mother said, “Lily, you are a brave girl; if you want to achieve your goal, you have to work hard and fight back against all the obstacles in your way.” Lily was somehow motivated by her mother.

From then, she started studying every day, which brought her good results in the finals of class 10. After bringing good results in class 10, she got a chance in the best school in the town, where she got admission to the science stream.

All of Lily’s friends were astonished to see Lily with so many marks. On the day of the mark sheet giving, Lily smiled at them and left without saying any harsh words to them in return.

Soon, two years passed, and Lily finally completed high school. She scored the highest in her school. This was again the result of her hard work. She used to study day and night to obtain an excellent scores. She felt highly insulted on the day when she failed. Since then, she promised herself no one would ever be able to call her a failure.

She continued her hard work, and after four years, she completed her graduation and postgraduation with flying colors. Again she got the results of hard work.

Finally, she got a job being a high school teacher in the most reputed school in her town. All her friends were jealous of her. Since Lily failed once, she never fell down again. She raised higher and higher and achieved everything she once dreamt of.
