She was in charge of milking the cows and transporting the milk to the market so that it could be sold. Molly was always thinking about what to buy next. As she filled the milk jugs and went to the market, she gave a second thought to everything she wanted to buy. She considered buying a cake and a bushel of new strawberries as she strolled along the street. A little bit further down, she noticed a chicken on the road. “I’m going to buy a chicken of my own with the money I get from today,” she considered. If that chicken lays eggs, I’ll be able to sell milk and eggs and earn more money. “With more cash, I will actually want to purchase an extravagant dress and make the wide range of various milkmaids desirous,” she proceeded to say.
