Nilu Becomes Netaji: A Tribute To The Brave Leader

Nilu and Pinky were in the school and were having an art class. But their art teacher was absent. So, all the children were happy and were playing in the class. They made the class a mess with chaos.

Suddenly, the helper man entered their class and asked whose period was ongoing. They answered, “We have a class of Sir Chatterjee.” But he didn’t arrive yet.

The helper has brought a letter in his hand. He asked, “Who is the leader of this class?” Everyone replied, “Nilu.” He said, “Nilu, come here and read this letter! This letter is regarding Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary.”

Nilu came and started to read the letter when Mr. Chatterjee came and asked the helper, “Aryeh? Are you taking their class today?” He replied, “Nahi sahib, I asked them to read the letter as they were making a mess in your absence.”

Nilu started reading, “Tomorrow, on Netaji’s birth anniversary, all the students must enter the school at 7 am to greet. On reading it, Nilu then signed below the notice.

The helper man said, “That’s like a real leader, like Netaji!” and left.

Watching this, Mr. Chatterjee thought, “Tomorrow is Netaji’s birth anniversary, and Nilu can be made to act as Netaji. He called Nilu and Pinky to his office.

All the children arrived at the ground at 7 am the next day. Mr. Chatterjee began his speech, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom, Netaji roared like this..” and continued. Everybody stood up, and the principal greeted Netaji’s framed picture with garlands and flowers as respect.

Chatterjee said, “Now Netaji will be coming with his army in front of you all.” Everyone was astonished and started looking around. Then the drums started playing loudly. Soon the children saw Nilu entering dressed as Netaji, along with Pinky and four others dressed as his army.

Chatterjee said that no chief guest would be coming. Netaji, himself, is standing in front of them. As Nilu was playing the role of Netaji, he requested Nilu to come forward and give a speech as Netaji in front of everyone. Nilu acted as brave as Netaji and went up to the Mic.

Nilu began, “My dear countrymen! I am Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Kissing this soil, I bow to you. You are fortunate that all of you are citizens of India. Many of my fellow citizens have sacrificed their lives along with me to achieve this freedom. Now, as we have this freedom, remember that this inheritance should be safely presented in the hands of future generations. Every one of you has to be responsible. So I hope you’ll establish unity.”

There was a raining applause from the children when Nilu stopped his speech. Then, finally, Mr. Chatterjee ended his speech with a conclusion.

Nilu successfully conducted Netaji’s birth anniversary on the 23rd of January by leading the role of Netaji and fulfilling it beautifully.
