Story on Value of Cleanliness

There was a young boy by the name of Hrishi. Hrishi and his friend Suman are very naughty students in the classroom. He consistently scatters pieces of paper and packets throughout the classroom. He creates chaos in his surroundings.

Hrishi never listened to anyone in the classroom when they pleaded with him to keep the classroom clean and not scatter paper shards everywhere. Miss Mary, who was in charge of the class, heard everyone’s complaints about Hrishi’s lack of classroom cleanliness. Though Hrishi was unclean, Suman, being naughty, always maintained cleanliness.

After that, Miss Mary made the decision to alter Hrishi’s behaviour. She attempted to convey to him the significance of cleanliness. However, it was useless. As a result, Miss Mary devised a different strategy to teach the boy the value of cleanliness.

Miss Mary made the announcement the following day that anyone who cleans their surroundings for five minutes every day would receive a star. She stated that the place to clean could be any location. She also said that the student who gets the most stars would get a special gift at the end of the month.

Every student became exuberant. To earn stars at the end of the day, Hrishi ‘s friends began cleaning their surroundings for five minutes each day. Suman was the first one to start. Suman also encouraged Hrishi to start doing the task every day.

Hrishi used to keep a daily record of this. He decided to clean his surroundings one day. After that, he began cleaning his surroundings and forgot about the time as he cleaned his bag, books, table, and other items.

Within a short period, everything appeared to be in order. When Hrishi saw the outcome, he was extremely pleased. Miss Mary was overjoyed to see this that day. As he began to tidy up his surroundings, she called Hrishi and asked everyone to cheer for him.

Hrishi received a star from Miss Mary. When the boy took the star for the first time, he was overjoyed. Suman said, “I am proud of you, my dear friend”. From that day, he began keeping everything perfect and clean. Soon, cleanliness became his daily routine, and he enjoyed tidying everything.

Miss Mary gave Hrishi a special gift after a month and asked everyone to use him as an example. Miss also gave a small gift to Suman as he always has kept and maintained cleanliness and hygiene. Hrishi expressed his gratitude to Miss Mary for demonstrating the significance of cleanliness and expressed his happiness.
