March 12, 2023July 16, 2023 The Apple Tree and A Farmer In the past, a farmer lived in a village next to a forest. He had a large garden with numerous plants, trees, and lovely flowers, including an aged apple tree. The farmer used to spend a lot of his time as a young boy playing with the apple tree. In those days, the apple tree gave him the best apples. On the other hand, the apple tree grew old over time and stopped producing fruit. The farmer came to the conclusion that the tree was ineffective now that he was not harvesting any apples from it. As a result, he decided to cut down the tree and use the wood for new furniture. He thought that because the tree was big and old, he didn’t have to treat it because it would be great furniture. He lost track of the fact that he had spent his entire childhood scaling the tree and savoring its fruits. Several small animals from the surrounding area now called the apple tree their home. This included a wide range of birds, insects, sparrows, and squirrels. The small animals rushed down when the farmer took his axe and began to chop the tree. All of them started pleading with the farmer. They gathered around the farmer and requested not to cut down the tree.” Under this very tree, we used to play with you when you were young. This is our home and we have no other spot to go”. The farmer held firm. The commotion grew as he raised his axe. The squirrel yelled, “Please don’t chop and destroy my home and children.” “Kindly don’t slash and annihilate my home,” cried the little birds. The grasshopper cried out, “Please don’t cut down the apple tree.” However, the farmer forgot about his childhood and his animal companions. He started cutting the tree harder. The little animals’ desperate desire to defend the apple tree at all costs drove them mad. “We will definitely sing for you when you are toiling away in the fields,” the little animals declared. “We’ll take care of your little boy. He won’t cry; rather, he will be happy and entertained. Our songs will please you and keep you energized.” However, their pleas for assistance were ignored. Despite all their requests, the farmer continued to cut down the tree. He suddenly observed something shiny. He saw that it was a honey-filled beehive after inspecting it. He took a small amount and ate it. He was a young boy when he tasted the honey. His childhood memories suddenly came flooding back. He wanted more honey because it was so delicious. He felt happy as a result of it. “This tastes amazing!” he exclaimed with a smile. After realizing the shift in the farmer’s attitude, the small animals spoke in unison: “I will always provide you with sweet honey,” the bee declared. “I will share any amount of nuts you want,” the squirrel declared. “We will sing as many songs as you want,” the birds cried. The farmer finally accepted his error and put down his axe. He knew the tree was home to many lovely animals that gave him so much. He wished his son could have the same childhood as him. The farmer came to the conclusion that the apple tree actually produced fruit. The apple tree was saved by the young boy in him. He gave up the axe and promised the small creatures he would never cut down this tree. You can live in harmony and peace because I have realized my error. The tiny creatures gave the bee heartfelt thanks. They would have been homeless by this point if the farmer hadn’t discovered the beehive. In the old apple tree, they continued their contented existence. Moral of The Apple Tree and A Farmer Story We shouldn’t kill anything that lives.
