A Trip To Heaven

“A Trip To Heaven” is a story of the farmer who lived in a village. He discovered one morning that an animal had eaten some of the sugar cane he was growing after breaking into his farm overnight. He decided to observe. He went to his farm in the middle of the night to ensure no animal had entered the property.

He was surprised to see the sugar cane being consumed by a white elephant. He yelled as he ran after the elephant. The elephant attempted to run away.

The farmer caught the elephant’s tail. Sadly, he found the elephant ascending off the ground. The jumbo was in the air!

The terrified farmer held onto the flying elephant’s tail. Overhead of the clouds, the elephant landed in a garden. The farmer thought back to hearing his grandmother talk about heaven. He said, “This must be heaven.”

He was thrilled to see lovely trees full of juicy fruits. He began to consume the fruits. He stuffed his pocket with some fruits. He desired to share them with his earthly friends. The farmer held the elephant’s tail as it flew once more. The sugarcane farm was the destination of the elephant’s descent. The farmer dashed back to his house as soon as they touched down on earth.

The farmer’s friends would not believe his story. He gave them the ripe mangoes he had picked from the heavens. All his friends agreed that the fruits tasted divine because they were so sweet. They wished to know when he would return to heaven. The farmer claimed to be planning a nighttime visit. He was begged by his friends to bring them along. The farmer concurred. He responded, “Yes, let’s all go to heaven and celebrate there.” The group of friends decided to meet at midnight at the sugarcane farm.

The white elephant began to fall from the sky that night as the farmer and his friends waited in the farm. They patiently waited until the elephant received its fair share of sugarcane. The farmer ran after the elephant and grabbed its tail as it was getting ready to leave.

One of the friends ran and grabbed the farmer’s legs as the elephant rose. Another man ran and grabbed the legs of the man who was holding the farmer’s legs as the elephant climbed higher. As each man held onto the legs of the person above him, the human chain grew.

The group began chatting as the elephant flew overhead. One of them wanted to know if the heavenly garden contained watermelons. Watermelons are, of course, present,” the farmer stated. They are so enormous! He stated

“How large?” The buddy inquired.

The farmer, demonstrating with his hands, said, “This big.”

The farmer and his companions fell as he opened his hands to demonstrate the size of the divine watermelons. Fortunately, they ended up in a stream on earth.

Even though the sugarcane farmer and his friends waited for the heavenly elephant to return, it never did.

Sometimes, the greatest adventures can be found in unexpected places, but it’s important to remember that not everything can be easily attained or repeated.
