The Haunted Game of Hide and Seek

“The Haunted Game of Hide and Seek” is a story of two sisters who went to their grandparents’ house to spend their summer vacation.

At their grandparents’ house, two sisters were spending their summer holidays. They enjoyed swimming in the front lake, exploring the woods, and playing various games in the gardens when the sun shone.

However, for one week, as they neared the end of their stay, all they saw was rain. Now that they were bored, the girls played board games, read books, and made things with the supplies they had for crafts.

The girls thought the big house where their grandparents lived would be a great place to play hide-and-seek. But, first, the younger sister wanted to run away. So, while her sister covered her eyes and began to count to fifty, she fled to a hiding place.

The older sister could hear her younger sibling running up the stairs and down the hallway leading to the house’s rear. She opened her eyes after she completed counting fifty. Then, with excitement, she went in search of her sister.

The girl entered every room. She looked in the closets and under the beds. Her sister was hidden behind the doors and curtains, but she was not present.

She got to the one and only room that their grandparents had forbidden them from entering.

She extended her hand and grabbed the doorknob before slowly turning it and pushing the door open. The fact that the room was almost empty surprised her.

The only thing was an old, tall, carved wooden cabinet covered in dust. However, the door was slightly unlocked.

Laughing, the girl rushed over and opened the door, hoping to find her sister, but the cupboard was empty. So she inclined in, and as she did, a cool, frigid hand connected from the rear of the dim pantry and got her wrist. She screamed and attempted to flee, but the hand began to pull her into the cabinet.

The girl’s sister heard her screams and rushed to investigate. As her sister began to disappear into the cabinet, she entered the room and watched in horror. Fortunately, the younger sister quickly reacted and grabbed her sister’s legs as she ran toward the cupboard.

After a brief tug-of-war, she pulled her sister out of the cupboard, and the two girls ran out of the room, slamming the door behind them. Fortunately, the sister was saved from the unseen ghost.
