The Pink Cheese Debate: Story On Avoiding Pointless Arguments

There was a big kingdom of mice. Each and every mouse lived in harmony. One day, the small mouse Jerry told her friend Lily: “The cheese is pink.”

Lily was shocked and replied: “No, the cheese is yellow.”

Jerry again repeated that the cheese is pink. After several attempts of repeatedly trying to make Jerry understand that cheese is yellow, Lily bursts out in anger.

The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this, they went before the Majesty, the King of their Kingdom, “Twindee King.”

Already before reaching the small den of their mouse kingdom where the Twindee, the King, sits on his throne, the small one, Jerry, began to yell:

The King then declared:

Jerry jumped cheerfully and was very happy and went on his way, repeating and rhyming:

As the Majesty has punished, Lily accepts his punishment, but before she asks Twindee:

“Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the cheese is yellow in color, and we all know that very well.”

Twindee replied:

“In fact, the cheese is yellow.”

Then, Lily asked:

“Then why are you punishing me, Majesty?”.

The Majesty replied:

“That has nothing to do with the question of whether the cheese is pink or yellow.

The reason for the punishment is that it is impossible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey and then asking me that question.”
