March 19, 2023July 16, 2023 The True Representation of Peace A king once announced a prize for the artist who would produce the best peace-themed work. The king received several of the finest works of art from numerous great artists. Among the numerous masterpieces was a picture of a serene lake perfectly illuminating serenely towering snow-capped mountains. A bright blue sky with fluffy clouds could be heard. Perfect was the picture. The majority of viewers of various artists’ peace paintings thought it was the best. Everyone was stunned when the king announced the winner. The prize-winning image also featured mountains, but they were rough and barren. There was lightning and a very angry sky. This did not appear at all tranquil. It appeared that the artist had submitted a painting that showed a storm rather than peace. However, if anyone paid close attention to the painting, they could make out a tiny bush growing in the rock’s cracks. A mother bird had constructed her nest in the bush. The bird sat peacefully on her nest in the midst of the frantic storm. Being in a quiet location does not equate to peace. Peace means to remain calm inside, even in the midst of all the chaos. The state of mind, not the environment, constitutes genuine peace. Despite her chaotic surroundings, the mother bird at her calm was, in fact, the best representation of peace. Moral of The True Representation of Peace Story Peace is not just the absence of chaos or noise around us, but rather a state of mind that allows us to remain calm and composed even amidst turbulent and stormy situations. True peace can be found within us, and it is up to us to cultivate it regardless of our external circumstances.
