Raju’s Adventure On Makar Sankranti

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Raju was a little kid living in a village. Makar Sankranti is a very famous festival in villages and towns. Every child waited for the festival to arrive. Raju was also very excited about the festival. He ended up with an adventure on the festival day. Let’s know what was the Raju’s adventure.

Raju took out all his pennies from his piggy bank to buy kites and had a total of 300 rupees. He used all the money to buy kites of different types, shapes, colors, and designs and kept the kites ready on the day before Sankranti.

The next morning, he took all the kites with him and went to his friends to make a competition to fly those kites. They had a kite competition among themselves, and it was decided that the one who wins will be getting a treat from the one who lost. That means somebody among them has to cut at least 10 kites. The one who can cut 10 kites will be the winner that day.

Raju was very excited as he was a good kite flier, and he challenged his friends that he would be the winner. They started flying kites in the morning around 10 o’clock, and when it was near about 2:00 p.m., Raju was left with 5 kites more, and he had cut nearly 8 kites.

Raju needed to cut three more kites to be the winner. By 5 o’clock, Raju was able to cut 10 kites and became the winner. As the winner, Raju demanded his friends to take him to the Gangasagar Mela, which happened or took place at the event of Makar Sankranti.

Hearing the plan, his friends also got excited and decided to visit Mela. They all got ready by 6 o’clock and left their houses to reach the spot. They were all together and enjoying the Mela when they stopped at a gaming stall. The game was about bursting balloons using a plastic toy gun.

Ratul pleaded with Raj to play that game with him, and they began playing. Meanwhile, Raju spotted a colorful kite shop and ran to look at the variants of kites. The stall was decorated very well and had numerous kites, all of the different variances.

The colorful variance of the kites made Raju stay at them. On the other hand, Ratul and Raj finished their game and were about to leave the Mela when they spotted Raju missing. They were all kids and had no mobile phones to contact each other.

Ratul and Rahul were together, but Raju was not with them. Ratul said that he noticed Raju running to a stall while playing at the gaming stall but didn’t notice which stall it was.

Both of them got scared and tensed as they could not find their friend. They decided to report to the mela office and wait for their dearest friend.

Meanwhile, Raju realized that he was lost in the crowd. Raju started pampering and crying. He went up to the Mela office to report. He reached the mela office and found Rahul and Ratul waiting for him. He got relieved and hugged them tightly.

Ratul made Raju promise never to leave them in the crowd. Raju said, “Leave the incident. It’s makar sankranti. Let us have delicious and special food items made on Sankranti. Those are available in the last stall.” Three of them went and had delicious food and enjoyed the festival well.
