The Brave Barber and Tree Ghost

Sanju had a hair salon. He was a generous man who was brave and didn’t ever get scared of spirits and ghosts. He would go from place to place in search of customers who wanted haircuts or shaves.

In a small box, he carried all of his tools safely. A mirror, combs, a pair of scissors, and shaving blades were in the box.

Sanju used to bring it with him everywhere he went. He would tell his wife, “One day, I’ll save enough money and open my own hair-cutting salon because you can never tell when someone will need to shave or get a haircut.”

Sanju took the small box with him when he left home one morning. He took a nap in the shade of a tree at noon.

Unfortunately, a ghost lived in that tree. The ghost was starving because it was lunchtime. When it saw Sanju under that very tree, it was overjoyed. The ghost sprang to his feet, spread his arms, and joyfully sang and danced.

I’m the tree ghost. I need delicious food for my stomach.

Sanju stood up. When he saw the ghost, he quickly devised a way to escape. He also started singing: Ah, one more ghost on my list, and I’m so happy.

The spirit was lost. This man did not appear to be in any way afraid.

Sanju showed the ghost his box and said, “I already have one in the box who wants company. I’ll get you right into my kitty.” “You’ll go with him.”

“I don’t trust you. The ghost screamed, “You lie.”

Sanju pulled out a mirror and held it up, saying, “Let me show you the ghost I have in the box.” The sight of another ghost there shocked the ghost. It had no idea that it was just its own reflection!

Sanju was presented with a bag of gold coins by the ghost, who begged Sanju to let him go.

Sanju went home after getting the bag of gold coins.

His return brought joy to his wife.

Sanju opened his hair-cutting salon with large mirrors and high chairs the following day!

Courage and quick thinking can help overcome difficult situations. Sometimes, what seems like a problem can be an opportunity in disguise. Also, honesty and integrity can lead to unexpected rewards.
