The Gift of Love: A Father and Daughter’s Story

There lived a young girl with her father in a little house. The young girl was pretty and cute. She lost her mother at the time she was born. She only had her father and loved him very much. Her father also felt his daughter was precious to him. They didn’t have a big family. They were only left with each other and lived together. 

One day, the girl wanted to surprise her father, so she purchased a small gift. When she got home, she looked for wrapping paper and then wrapped it nicely to give it to her father.

She gladly went to her father at night and gave him the small wrapped gift when he got home. Father was surprised to see the gift wrapped in pricey gold wrapping paper, and he also noticed that there was a lot of waste wrapping paper nearby. As money was tight and they couldn’t afford to waste anything, the father became enraged at this.

He yelled at her, pleaded with her not to buy such items, and then went inside. The young girl became sad.

However, a few days later, the young girl purchased a present for her father once more and stated, “This is for you, daddy.”

Father was embarrassed by his excessive response a few days ago. After happily opening that present, he was surprised to discover it was empty.

He lost his mind. When her daughter answered, “But daddy, it’s not empty.. I blew lots of kisses into the box, and they are all for you,” her father got emotional and hugged her tightly. He pleaded with his daughter to pardon him for his impolite conduct.

The girl was killed in an accident shortly after. For many years, her father kept the box by his bed, and whenever he felt down, he would take out an imaginary kiss to remember the love of the child who had put it there.

The most priceless gift in the world is love. The greatest gift one can give is love, which can bring immense joy even when wrapped in the simplest ways. Love is priceless and lasts long after physical gifts have disappeared.
