The Smart Cat and A Foolish Man

A happy couple had a pet cat and were happily married. The man absolutely detested the cat for some strange reason. He had no qualms about wanting to get rid of the cat at any time.

He finally devised a strategy to get rid of it one day. After stuffing the cat into a bag, he drove a long distance away from their house. “I’ll drop him off twenty blocks away, and he won’t come back,” the man chuckled, and they came to a stop twenty blocks from their house.

He went there and left the cat, and as he came back, he saw the cat running around outside their house. He was so surprised and irritated. “Why is he back in this place?” he cried out.

He devised yet another strategy after a few days. He thought, “This time, I will drop him forty blocks away, and he will never return.” So he carried the cat forty blocks away from their residence in a bag. The cat was already in its spot when he returned. Now the man was ranting. He became enraged and stomped his feet, turning red. How did this come about?

The man devised one more strategy to get rid of the cat. He drove as far as he could with her in a sack.

As he continued, he turned left, right, and left. Then, finally, he reached for the bag. But, when he got there, as far as he could from their house, it was empty!

He called his wife’s number and asked, “Hey honey, is the cat home?” as she answered.

She replied, “Yes, it is!”

“Could you hand it the phone? The man responded, “I just need to ask for directions to get back home.”

Moral of The Smart Cat and A Foolish Man Story

One cannot easily get rid of something that belongs to them or that they are responsible for, especially if it is alive and intelligent, like a pet cat. The story also warns against cruelty to animals and highlights the importance of treating them with love and care.

Hasty decisions and actions can lead to unintended consequences and create more problems than they solve.
